Pupil Premium Statement 2016-17
By law, we are obliged to use our website to disseminate the information about our use of Pupil Premium. The Pupil Premium is an additional amount of money that is granted to schools based upon a set of criteria and it is designed to help certain pupils to 'close the gap' regarding their academic achievement. The amount varies from school to school based on the eligibility of pupils. At Maidensbridge we don't have a high income from Pupil Premium. If you are a parent who thinks that their child may qualify for Free School Meals, which is the trigger for this funding, it is vital that you apply to the local authority. If you are unsure, please contact the school office for advice. Children who currently receive a free meal automatically because they are in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 should still apply as this is the only way to secure extra funding for the children. Please find our latest documents below which show a general statement and the detailed plan for this year. Legislation has changed this year so at the end of the school year 2016-17 we shall review the effectiveness of the plan and post the updated evaluation here in the Autumn Term.
