Sixteen Maidensbridge children travelled to the University of Wolverhampton today to graduate from the Black Country Children's University.
The children, who were mostly made up of our Year 6 pupils had been invited to receive their awards for achieving the milestone of undertaking at least one hundred hours of extra-curricular learning. This entitled each child a gold award from the University. It was also a great moment for three pupils from Year 2 who have been part of the scheme since commencing in Reception class.
This is the final graduation for our Year 6 who in September 2015 piloted this scheme in school and we are proud that we have helped two-thirds of the children to a gold award.
A further graduation will be held in school on Friday for bronze and silver award winners, which features many of our new undergraduates from Years 4 and 5.
