Fourteen of our Year 4 and 5 pupils were invited to attend a special training session to train them to be Anti-Bullying Ambassador's
The training, undertaken at the David Lloyd Centre in Brierley Hill, was attended by groups of children from a across Dudley and run by the The Diana Award. This organisation was set up to continue the work of the late Diana, Princess of Wales in combatting bullying at all levels of society. We have been involved with this scheme for nearly five years here at Maidensbridge with a great deal of success.
The training equipped the children with practical skills in which to combat bullying, as well as providing the children with a framework to plan and implement their own ideas in tackling this issue in their schools.
Our newly trained Anti-bullying Ambassadors have now started to undertake their roles in the playground and will provide support and reassurance to others.
The group will also attend a second day of training in June.
