Over a hundred parents and carers visited the school this morning to participate in our parent workshops he'd during the morning.
After receiving a warm welcome from Mr Hale, parents started the morning with a cup of tea and a biscuit before venturing down to classrooms for one of the three sessions offered throughout the morning.
From Reception class to Year 6, there was a range of age appropriate activities organised to enable children to work alongside their parents in applying their mathematical knowledge through a range of problem solving activities. All this was with the aim of promoting the strong partnerships we have with our parents, but bolstering understanding and awareness of the school's approach to mathematical learning.
From the engagement and buzz generated, there was no doubt that the sessions were a great success. many thanks to parents, staff and children for their efforts.
