Remembrance Day Assembly

On Remembrance Day, years 5 & 6 took part in a special assembly to remember all those who had fought during conflicts involving our country and sadly many people who lost their lives during these conflicts. We were joined by Matt Jones and others from Wall Heath Evangelical Church who offered personal memories about World War 2 as well as memories that had been passed down to them from their parents and other family members. The Head Boy & Girl and Deputy Head Boy & Girl read poetry from World War 1 and a wreath was laid just before a minutes silence was observed at 11 a.m.

The wreath was then taken to be laid on Remembrance Sunday as part of the Wall Heath remembrance service.
