World Book Day 2018

Characters from children's literature came to life today, when Maidensbridge celebrated World Book Day 2018.

Staff and children came to school dressed in their favourite book/film character to demonstrate their love for reading. It was good to see an array of different characters which included characters from the Harry Potter series and David Williams books, as well as few old favourites!

Tapping into the enthusiasm and energy of the day, Mrs Payton led a whole school assembly. In their classes, children undertake a range of activities to support the theme of the day.

Mr Hale also read some stories to each of class throughout the day. The children were also given a World Book Day token which they can exchange for a book of their choice.

More pictures and information may be posted on children's class page.
